DIG PINK is October 14th!!

DIG PINK takes a lot of coordination, and this year we want to be more organized and get more people (and players!!!) involved. The different pieces that need to be taken care of are:

• Set-up/Decoration: We need people to arrive early to help with setting-up and decorating the gym (take-down at the end is good, too).
• Auction Items: I think the raffle/auction did well last year, and we need people to look for restaurants/stores/businesses to donate products to auction off
• Raffle/Auction Table: We need people to man the table throughout the matches and announce winners
• Sponsorship: This is a fundraising event for breast cancer, and we should be able to find a number of companies willing to make a sponsorship donation (to the SideOut Foundation) - we can offer them some sort of free advertising at the match/in the program in return.
• Education: The bigger idea of the event (beyond the fundraising portion) is about awareness. We have materials to hand out, but if we could have someone man the educational table and perhaps FIND A SPEAKER (ideally a quick 5-10 minute speech), that'd be great.
• Bake Sale Table: In addition to the concession stand, we will set up a bake sale table outside the concession stand - need someone to man that
• Bake Sale Items: Clearly, we'll need items to sell at our Bake Sale Table

There is no reason we can't send the girls out to businesses asking for products/sponsorship, so we should get players and parents involved!
